How About a Solution to all our Traffic Woe’s?

By Teresa Betancourt

The Spartan Hyperloop Team may have the key!

Our very Spartan Hyperloop Team are finalists in the Levitation portion of the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition on July 22nd @ SpaceX Headquarters in Hawthorne CA.

Elon Musk recruits universities across the globe to research & develop revolutionary transportation technology. The Spartan Hyperloop team contributes to the research on magnetic levitation, machine learning and power management. The team is currently building a full-scale pod that combines research from the past 9 months.

What is a Hyperloop you may ask? Let’s imagine a transportation unit that will allow us to travel from San Francisco to Los Angeles in just 43 minutes at significantly less price than a plane ticket and safer than an individual automobile.

Try estimating your own route.

Now think of Hyperloop as the future of ground transportation. It will send pods full of cargo 700 MPH in depressurized tunnels.

Let’s support our Spartan Innovators!

Spartan Hyperloop needs to raise $5,000 for components and lodging during the final competition! Competition week at SpaceX Headquarters in Hawthorne CA is from July 15th to the 22nd.

Super cool factoid -

15 Latino students are on the team across engineering, business and the arts.
